news

Recently, I started another blog to showcase my pinhole photography. I realized quickly that what I really needed was a concept book. I am experimenting with different ideas and concepts regarding photography...this new blog is a continuation of what I started, but it includes all things photography that I relate to and am inspired by. A photo journal that includes my own work as I try to figure out what's next...

So, instead of "carnival photos", we now have a "photo carnival"...

more than meets the eye

Athen has been writing me letters while at preschool. So far he's given me five. They are all pictures of transformers…and I love them.

He signs his own name now too. All upper case except the "n."

let's discover F words

Athen has been enjoying listening to stories lately. A while ago I asked my Mom to find audio books for kids at her local thrift stores. She found this gem among many other good books on tape.
…how fitting.

The Troll Talking Picture Dictionary © 1974 is actually very good. It comes with a book for kids to read along with and clever illustrations depicting scenarios where obviously, there are several "f words" being used…

I wouldn't mind having the rest of the alphabet too.

have to share...

I worked with a team of volunteers to develop a website for a local non-profit organization that offers before and after school childcare, preschool and summer camp for families in Seattle and Mercer Island.

I photographed children at each of the schools over the course of a year. I took hundreds of photographs, edited them down and sent them to Kids Company well over a year ago.

Finally, the website has been finished.
