A brother and sister duo from Sweden called The Knife. I enjoy this live version of heartbeats a lot.

Sony has a pretty cool commercial using this song as well. Athen and I really enjoyed watching it.

unschool

A few nights ago, Athen was really quiet for a while. (Usually a sign of mischief).

I was reading an article about "unschooling" in this months Parent Map. This was particularly interesting to me because of Athen entering Kindergarten next year. I am debating about all my options at the moment. (public school, montessori, homeschool, etc.)

After a bit, Athen approaches me with this paper in his hand and says, "Look, my numbers."

Surprised and impressed I replied, "Oh my goodness! This is wonderful!! ... Were you looking at numbers when you wrote them or did you think about them?" Athen simply said, "I had an idea..."
